Hello everyone,
I was wondering about the All Ordinary Index in Australia. Some subscribers I come across – like to stick to stocks in the ASX 200 or the All Ordinaries. If I look at the All Ords index over the last 4 years – I can see it has annualised around 6% a year.
I decided to get to work to see I could use stocks from the All Ords – and by applying VectorVest 7 Australia’ BackTester – to see what results I could get. This was not going to be any test – it was going to have to meet strict market timing rules. Before I was able to do this – I needed to build an appropriate UniSearch that would meet my selection criteria…
Have a look at the video provided – I have kept it to under 7 minutes.
Regards,
Russell.

Hi Russel.. VERY Interesting exercise on “ALL ORD’s”
I think it would be more impressive if one ID’s selected Company’s in the “All Ord’s” & do the exercise.
This would be more practical ????
QUESTION: Method of selecting Company’s within the “All Ord’s” or ASX 300 or other sectors
Another question: If I selected say ASX 300 how do I get say top 30 Companys or Top 3 sectors
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

Hi David,
Thanks for your questions. Probably the best way for me to answer it via a video. Please copy and paste the link per below into your browser. It shows you how to screen (by sector and industry and by ensuring the stocks are in the ASX300) and then sorting (depending on the sort you apply to get the top ranked stocks.) It is just a matter of of then selecting the first x number of stocks you are after.

Hi David,
Thanks for your comment. Good idea. I can certainly look to run a training session or a brief video on UniSearch. There is a good training video for UniSearch which can be found by clicking on the “Training” tab in VectorVest 7 – and then scrolling down to “VectorVest University”. Once in VectorVest University – ensure you select the “General Training” tab – and then run your eye down the page and you will see the training module called “VectorVest 7 UniSearch”

Russell.
